Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax response of the police towards DUI instances in Charleston resulted in an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. In addition to her current work as a lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and as well to Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
